Musician, singer and songwriter Jari Loisa is known for his many activities
in the Finnish music scene. In 1980 he was the driving force in the band Siberia.
Since that time he has made a solo career for himself and also formed the band,
Loisa that performed and recorded his music.
Nowadays Loisa is also a photographer and wants to “make music visible”
through his photography. His Latitudes Photo Exhibition 2006 has been
in four venues in Finland: Pornainen, Järvenpää, Helsinki and Porvoo.
International shows have been on exhibit in Latvia, Ventspils;
and in USA at Gallery at 85 Main Street in Connecticut.
For these exhibitions Loisa created music compositions which now are available
in an album called Latitudes – Music for Still Pictures and Relaxation.
These picturesque, ambient influenced tunes reflect beautifully the world of
Loisa’s photographs, but can also be enjoyed as individual pieces of music.
Jari Loisa has composed, arranged, played and recorded the album himself.
