The finnish progressive group Uzva´s first ” Tammela In January” –album is available again and distributed by Presence Records.
Made in 2000 the Tammela was a landmark in the Finnish new prog-scene and has since been kind of a ”hard-to-find” item, as the first print sold out almost immediately.
Recorded by Måns Groundstroem and produced by the band itself the debut intro-duced a six-member group with guests that combined the compositions of Heikki Puska with a very organic production and a live feeling, making the album the unique recording it still is.
It´s timeless beauty and vibes out of the Finnish landscape and nature sound as fresh and original as they were, the day they were recorded. Uzva is now working on a forthcoming album planned to be titled ”Orion Live” which hopefully will be released next spring. It contains material from a concert recorded in Baltimore, USA, in the fall of 2006.
