New album by keyboard-wizard Esa Kotilainen will be available on 1st of september.
Titled "-51 C" , this album continues the musical journey that the last year´s "Turquoise Planet" started. Only this time we´re travelling in more or less winter athmospheres. The second album of finnish folk-prog-ambient trio Kataya will also be out on the very same day. While the first " Canto Obscura" discovered the musical sounds of deep finnish forests this new called "Voyager" goes straight into the outer space and follows the adventures of the mysterious being called "K". The special record-release happening of both new albums will be in Helsinki in september-october, so stay with us and check the news!

As some of you may know, Elonkorjuu's record release show in Savoy Teatteri has postponed. The new date will be announced in the future, so stay tuned!
New Elonkorjuu double-live-album out 14.4.2010.
We are happy to announce that a new double-live-album "Scumbag Goes To Theatre" will available via Presence Records Distrubution worldwide 14.4.2010. The album was recorded last december in Pori Theater and includes 13 stunning live versions of this finnish prog-rock legend.
There will be a special tour.

A very fine debut of jazz pianist Aapo Heinonen and his Quintet. Nine brand new songs written by Aapo himself takes this group straight into the first class in Finnish jazz-scene.

New album of saxophone-maestro Pepa Päivinen will be out 18.11.2009 on Presence Records label. On this North Pipe-release joins forces the same quartet that made the well received Tiram Num album in 2005: Timo Kämärainen -guitars, Ville Huolman -bass, Mikko Hassinen -drums and Pepa.
The guest musicians are Mongo Aaltonen -percussion and Juho Laitinen -cello.

Time Traveller and Orrenmaa Band license deals
We are happy to announce that the Presence Records has made license deals with a german label Nordic Notes concerning Time Traveller´s Chapters I&II- and Orrenmaa Band: Make My Day with Billy Cobham & Tower Of Power Horns -albums.
Nordic Notes will release these albums in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and Netherlands in september 2009.
So Orrenmaa Band Make My Day is from now on Presence label and distribution, with the exception of the distribution in Finland and Baltic countries which is on Sony Music Finland.

New Releases in August
The second album of finnish prog-rock band Pax Romana will be out on the 12th of August. Titled "And The Dance Begins Again" it includes 9 new songs and features musical guests like Maria Hänninen, Kalle Fält and Jari Loisa among others. The record release party will be held at Ravintola Kaisla Helsinki 28.8.2009 with a special musical guest Jari Loisa, Siberian Plumtrees, Magical Nights.
The first Pax Romana album Trace Of Light from 2005 will also available on Presence Records catalogue from now on.

The debut album of finnish ambient artist Sam Marsala called Scapes & Tracks will be released as a special Download release on the 12th of August. The CD-release is set out to be later this year, so stay tuned.

A brand new album "Turquoise Planet" from the keyboard-wizard, Esa Kotilainen is going to be released in august/september this year on Presence Records label. Esa´s work in Finnish music scene is well known during last four decades. He was part of Wigwam in 70´s, played on legendary Nuclear Nightclub-album and on two Wigwam´s latest albums, Titan´s Wheel and Some Several Moons. He´ve also had collaborations with many general Finnish artists like Hector and Jukka Tolonen. He´s 70´s classic soloalbum was Ajatuslapsi (1977) and this continues the story bringing his ambient athmospheres to more global level.
A brand new Ageness album out on Presence-label!
The long-awaited new album of high profile Finnish prog-group Ageness will be out in 20th of may 2009. It´s the fourth album of this band and the first in ten years and it is called "Songs From The Liar´s Lair" (PRECD 016). The album also introduces new line-up with a new guitar guru, Speedy Saarinen. The band will celebrate the new album on a special party held in Virgin Oil, Helsinki, on thursday 21.5.2009. Among Ageness there´s also performing another Presence act Time Traveller as well as another guitar hero Rekku Rechardt is doing a rare solo gig. So see you there, proggers and rockers!

Hello! The 2009 has started well in Presence-world, here´s some updates:
Jeavestone´s first album "Mind The Soup" will be re-released by Presence Records in feb-march this spring and will include some extramaterial...we´ll keep you informed.
Meanwhile the band is about to start the recordings of their third album this spring and is also prepairing for some festival gigs like Cascais Prog Festival, Portugal 2.-5.10.2009.
Negociations of them playing in Cambridge and Gothenburg in august 2009 are on the way and some strong rumours of them playing in USA in 2010 have also been going around...
As Robert Silverstein of 20th Century Guitar magazine MUSIC WEB EXPRESS 3000 - www.mwe3.com puts it: "Spices... is a modern pop classic...".

Saarikorpi Brom - Water Music
Another excellent release is out on Presence Records Distribution. Pekka Saarikorpi, the shamanist drummer and percussion man from Korpi Ensemble, Kurkirku, Veljeni Valas and lot of other great groups, has released a solo album. The music is based around marimba, an instrument that Pekka plays as well.

Johanna Iivanainen: Loisto -The Collection out 10.9.2008
 The first collection of Finnish singer / songwriter Johanna Iivananen is set to release in the end of august. The album includes songs of her recordings from last 10 years, a lot of favourities, some rarities and also two new recordings and compositions: "Count The Waves" and "Old Country". The release is a collaboration with Backstage Alliance and Perfect Sound / Presence Records and will be out in Germany, Austria and Switzerland by a German company Nordic Notes.

Echosystem updates
The keyboardist and composer Elina Lae has left the band. The band will carry on without her and have played some gigs with Sampo Härkönen on keyboards. You can see them live next time at Helsinki 30.5. Ahjo and 12.6. Espan Lava (Helsinki-Day). They will aslo start the recordings of their next album in august.
